So far this year, there have been 3 sales in Lakeside Park. All of the sales have been bank-owned. There are currently 9 active listings in the neighborhood. All of them are short sales and all but one were purchased within the last 2 years using 100% financing. These “sellers” never had any equity in these properties, and essentially paid very high rent and ruined their credit ratings by buying these homes. This is unfortunate for this neighborhood, as it is a very nice place to live with good schools, well-maintained common areas, wide greenbelts, plenty of parking and membership in the Sun & Sail Club.
